Do you work out to ski, or ski to work out?

There's no "right" answer, it just depends on your perspective!

Some skiers (and snowboarders too) spend their entire off-seasons thinking about their time on snow, the experiences they had and what they want to accomplish during the next winter. They may hit the gym to rebalance the muscles in their body, improve core strength, or do any number of cross-training activities to help them hit the slopes with strength and flexibility once the snow flies again.

Other sliders may not identify as a skier or snowboarder, but they do look forward to sliding down hills or mountains during the winter, whether on a regular basis, for a destination vacation or just to have fun on a nice winter day. Skiing and snowboarding give those sliders a break from the gym, and makes our long Minnesota winters seem just a bit more manageable!

At The Alpine Factory, our infinite indoor revolving slopes allow you to get a full day's worth of skiing in about an hour, which means skiing or snowboarding can now fit in your exercise schedule. With no lifts to stop your sliding, you can ski for miles without a break. You can work your body while you check your form in the mirrors. If you're preparing for a trip to the mountains, why not book one or more lessons at least a week or more before your vacation? We can help you get your body ready to tackle those big runs with more confidence. Our talented instructors will structure your lesson to meet your needs. No matter whether you work out to ski, or ski to work out, booking a lesson at The Alpine Factory will give you the place to do both!
